Refund Policy

Understand how cancellations and refunds work on the Joharr And Joharr Sarthi platform โ€” and what to do if you have a payment dispute with a driver.

Important to Know: Joharr And Joharr Sarthi is a booking facilitation platform only. We do not process, hold, or handle any payments between customers and drivers. This means traditional "refund" scenarios do not apply to Joharr And Joharr Sarthi itself โ€” all payment matters are between you and your driver.

Cash-Based Platform: All fares on Joharr And Joharr Sarthi are paid directly from customer to driver, typically in cash or via direct UPI/payment apps agreed upon between them. Joharr And Joharr Sarthi collects no money from users or drivers and therefore issues no refunds.

Policy Overview

Joharr And Joharr Sarthi operates as a technology intermediary โ€” a platform that connects customers with independent cab drivers. We facilitate the booking request and driver connection only.

Because Joharr And Joharr Sarthi does not:

  • Collect any fare, service fee, or payment from customers
  • Hold any funds on behalf of customers or drivers
  • Process any financial transaction of any kind

Joharr And Joharr Sarthi cannot issue any monetary refunds. There is no payment made to Joharr And Joharr Sarthi to refund.

What This Means For You If you have a concern about a fare amount, overpayment, or payment after cancellation, that matter must be resolved directly with the driver. Joharr And Joharr Sarthi can assist by mediating complaints, but cannot transfer or refund any money.

No Payments Through Joharr And Joharr Sarthi

To be completely clear:

  • No in-app wallet โ€” Joharr And Joharr Sarthi has no wallet feature. You cannot add money to any Joharr And Joharr Sarthi account.
  • No in-app payment gateway โ€” We do not use Razorpay, Paytm, PhonePe, or any other payment processor.
  • No subscription or booking fee โ€” Currently, using Joharr And Joharr Sarthi to book a ride is free of charge for customers.
  • No advance payment โ€” Joharr And Joharr Sarthi does not ask for or accept any advance payment for bookings.
Beware of Fraud If anyone claims to be from Joharr And Joharr Sarthi and asks for payment via any method (UPI, bank transfer, QR code, etc.), do not pay. Joharr And Joharr Sarthi never collects money from customers. Report such incidents immediately to manoj@joharcab.com or call +91 9234434490.

Cancellations

Cancellations may happen on either side โ€” a customer may cancel a booking request, or a driver may be unable to complete the ride.

No Refund Applicable

If you cancel before the ride begins and no payment was made, no refund is applicable as no money changed hands via Joharr And Joharr Sarthi.

Advance Given to Driver

If you gave an advance directly to the driver before cancelling, please contact that driver directly to recover your advance payment.

Driver Cancellation / No-Show

  • If a driver cancels after confirming a ride, or fails to show up, Joharr And Joharr Sarthi is not financially liable for any loss, inconvenience, or alternative transport costs you incur.
  • You may report a driver no-show to us at manoj@joharcab.com. Repeated complaints against a driver may result in their removal from the Platform.
  • We recommend always confirming your ride with the driver over the phone before making any travel arrangements.

Advance Payments to Drivers

Some customers may choose to pay an advance directly to a driver (e.g. for outstation trips). This is an arrangement solely between you and the driver. Joharr And Joharr Sarthi:

  • Does not facilitate, endorse, or oversee any advance payment.
  • Cannot recover or refund any advance paid to a driver.
  • Recommends exercising caution before making any advance payments and verifying the driver's credentials thoroughly.

Payment Disputes With Drivers

If you have a payment dispute with a driver (overcharging, advance not returned, or similar), here is what you can do:

  • Step 1 โ€” Contact the driver directly: Try to resolve the issue amicably with the driver first, as Joharr And Joharr Sarthi has no financial authority to compel a driver to pay.
  • Step 2 โ€” Contact Joharr And Joharr Sarthi: If you are unable to resolve the matter with the driver, email us at manoj@joharcab.com with the driver's name, phone number, booking date, and details of the dispute.
  • Step 3 โ€” Mediation: Joharr And Joharr Sarthi will attempt to mediate between you and the driver and may take action against the driver (including removal from the Platform) but cannot guarantee a financial recovery on your behalf.
  • Step 4 โ€” Legal recourse: For significant amounts, you may seek redressal under the Consumer Protection Act, 2019 at your nearest consumer forum, or file a police complaint if fraud is involved.

Platform Charges

As of the effective date of this policy, Joharr And Joharr Sarthi does not charge any fee to customers for using the booking platform. The service is free to use.

If in the future Joharr And Joharr Sarthi introduces any platform fee or subscription, we will:

  • Give you at least 30 days' advance notice via email and in-app notification.
  • Update this Refund Policy accordingly.
  • Provide a clear refund mechanism applicable to any fee collected by Joharr And Joharr Sarthi at that time.
Driver Subscriptions If Joharr And Joharr Sarthi offers any paid listing or subscription plan to drivers in future, separate refund terms applicable to drivers will be published and communicated directly to drivers.

Exceptional Circumstances

In rare or exceptional cases โ€” such as a technical error on our Platform that directly causes a financial loss โ€” please contact us at manoj@joharcab.com with full details and supporting evidence (screenshots, transaction records, etc.).

We will review such cases on a case-by-case basis. Our liability in any such case remains subject to the limitations set out in our Terms & Conditions.

Joharr And Joharr Sarthi is not liable for losses arising from:

  • Driver fraud or misconduct
  • Accidents or ride-related incidents
  • Advance payments made to drivers outside the Platform
  • Any external payment disputes not involving Joharr And Joharr Sarthi
